SouthernWake
Looking at a bayfisher but couldn't find a comprehensive comparison. Looks to be the same hull with different layout. Other than the front deck and the front storage what is the layout differences? Livewells etc... Also the BF is 100lbs heavier, where does this weight come from? Does it help the hull in a chop, affect draft or performance notably?
RichardKamp
I have a '98 Bayfisher 18. It rides great in smooth and choppy water conditions. Very dry. I don't noticed the extra weight, it goes where I need to. My '98 Yamaha 115 Commercial gets up and boogys in a hurry. Power Tech RBX4 gives incredible acceleration and lift. I believe the Bayfisher has a larger cockpit/helm area. You cannot go wrong with either one.
Dale Nelson
The redfisher will have more storage in the rear also. I have the Bayfisher and love the boat- but it does lack storage
J.N
Hewes needs to bring the lappies back. I know people would buy them again.
lurem
You don't mention what year redfisher. If it is pre 2000 then the layout of the redfisher may be a touch better and i would not hesiitate to get either after a thorough inspection. if the redfisher is a later model then my vote is bayfisher. Best riding Hewes I EVER HAD!
