Schmitt
Looking to replace the grater on my 2004 2200 te. The current one is in pieces and unacceptable for use. Called my local pathy dealer and they said the replacement is $50! Anyone ever make their own and how did it work compared to the original? Thinking of just heading to my local sheet metal supply and buying the stainless to do my self. Any input???
Miss Jazzy
I say go for it. I don't see why you couldn't make one just like the original. Just a bunch of holes to drill. Would be a lot easier with a drill press.
slyshon
There is a lot more to the hole placement than you would think. By the time you purchase the material and experiment with holes placement $50 will seem like a bargain, believe me. Skip
LV Pathfinder
I replaced mine earlier this year and would suggest just buying from Pathfinder. You can order direct and it was 35.00 bucks. Can't do it yourself for that. Hope this helps! Robert

shallowsalt
what is the orientation of the cheese grater holes? do the "scoops' face forward or aft?
captpn
the little scoops face up into the chest making the bottom smooth - and the large holes go to stern. The thread below shows a nice pic and the side with the film on it is the outside.
shallowsalt
Thank you. Mine doesn't have the pressure re-leaf holes in the rear, maybe that is why it come off. Should I try to replicate the holes on mine?
