Charles
Would like recommendations for a trolling motor that would match up well with my boat. So far I like the self deploy Minn Kota ulterra I-pilot but what shaft length and thrust power should I have with this boat? I would like the ability to troll thru 2' of water when needed but the majority of the time it would be in 3 plus feet. I would only fight normal tides in open water......not strong tides in inlets or need to chase a big tarpon. Thanks for any input you can give me. smooth move
no horse too fast, no woman too pretty and no trolling motor too powerful. i have a 22 v and a 105 MG. still find myself wanting more power. hope this helps. also get the longest shaft you can get. SCFD rtrd.
I have a 82lb. 24volt Motor Guide hand control with a 60" shaft on my 23HPS. I don't chase Tarpon or fight heavy currents, so it works just fine for me.
Charles
Are you comfortable with the 60" shaft length up to a mild chop?
