Smoak352
Anytime I plug in my on board charger it trips the breaker. I have tried two different extension cords and two different electrical outlets at the marina and at home. The problem must be with the charger but wanted to see if there was anything else I should check? All terminals are cleaned and tight. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. M.A.
Ever do a load test on your batteries? If your cables are good, no rub thrus and/or incorrect contacts, or frays, you could have a battery cell problem. The plates in the older style batteries may have become dislodged, or has blown thru. A grounded out battery could cause your charger to overload and trip the breaker. Check your batteries, it may not be the charger.
