It is on my 18 Hewes right now. Drop me a message if you're interested.
HewesYourDaddy
I really need a 2 stroke due to weight issues, but what do you have? Merc or Yamaha? Asking price?
Buddy
Daddy, it is a Mercury. It is my first 4-stroke, after years of running the 2-strokes Optimax. The 4-strokes weighs in at 359 lbs (Mercury dry weight) . My last 2-stroke weighed 348, I recall correction, the 2 stroke was 375 lbs. The weight is not a factor at all. I worried about the hole-shot, but the new 4 stroke is every bit as good. It runs great, and is so quiet you can't tell it is running. Very fuel efficient. https://www.mercurymarine.com/en/ca/engines/outboard/fourstroke/75-115-hp/ I'm getting another 4-stroke. I'm in the Tampa area, and my dealer is in Homosassa Springs. I recommend he does the swap, if you are close.
