Grassbottom
I have a 2000 Redfisher 16 and am going to install an onboard Minnkota MD210 battery charger. I have one battery in back right compartment and one in front under console seat I am thinking of mounting it in front of the battery in the back compartment to some starboard that will sit an inch or two from the floor so if I have to take the charger out I can just unscrew from under the starboard instead of going all the way underneath the floor. I will have to go underneath the floor with 4 stainless nuts and bolts to go through the starboard and some additional small pieces of starboard to lift it up those couple of inches but only once. I did buy the extension cord from Minnkota. Any thoughts, pro or cons thanks
M.A.
I would mount it in my console, where it would be less likely damaged by water/moisture. Not sure how long electronics would last in the back compartment.....
GatorJ
I installed two trolling motor batteries under the console seat, with a Guest battery charger mounted to the underside of the console seat hatch.
