captbryan Posted September 26, 2016 Report Share Posted September 26, 2016 Got the old toggle switches for trim tab switches. 1998 ma21. Got one tab not working. Have got six blade terminals. Have not started any troubleshooting yet. Just wondering if anyone would have any ideas as to whether it's switch or actuator and tips on troubleshooting. smilemaker Posted September 27, 2016 Report Share Posted September 27, 2016 On the rocker switch the two middle poles are the pos and neg leads to the trim tab. If you disconnect them and go straight to the battery with jumper wire the tabs will go one way. Reverse the leads and it will go the other way. This will tell you if the motor is OK.
