HewesYourDaddy
I'm getting ready to have a flip up backrest made for my 96 Bonefisher. I've got a few ideas, but any pictures of what you have done or what you have seen on other bonefishers would be appreciated.
c-sic
http://www.marineproducts.net/folding-horizontal-mount-back-rest/ I am planning on ordering one of these soon.
HewesYourDaddy
I've seen those and I like them, but with the configuration of my deck, the only place to put the mounting pads is on the hatch lids. Not sure if that's a good location. I'm not sure if that would be too much for the lids to handle.
fin-addict
would not mount on the lids. take to a fab shop, they can design one to fit your needs.

HewesYourDaddy
Good advice. Thinking of ideas is driving me crazy. I'll just drag it across town and let them take a look.

Must be comfortable when sitting and chunking (LOL) I used to have the "fish-on" seats on the stern of the Pathy 22, so, I went on Amazon and ordered the goodies....how I love Amazon. As always, delivered on time for a Saturday install... I figured where they would fit best...measured twice, drilled once....here is the result... I used some spare 3/8" starboard to hold the seat base....total install about 1hour...when do the full refurb next year, I'll 5200 them down to the deck, but, for now this should be fine.... Tempress Seats / Fish ON quick release and install. Measure......get ready to drill IMG_0932 by Dino Cardelli, on Flickr Cut starboard...when i redo the boat, I'll cleanup the corners and round it nice... IMG_0942 by Dino Cardelli, on Flickr I also upgraded from my Red Bag of Death Cooler to a Canyon Fish bag...enough for a couple of reds, a few trout, and maybe a few black drum.... Wheels On Water
After a lot of issues with the previous back rest I went and had this Fab up! Works great and when folded up double as a foot rest for anyone seating on the polling platform. So glad I went this way! Good Luck.
HewesYourDaddy
THAT IS EXACTLY THE IDEA I WAS TRYING COME UP WITH!!!!! My idea was a little more complicated and somewhat similar, but yours is a much better and clean design. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
HewesYourDaddy
Anyone know of a place to get pre-fab back rests (other than Birdsall)? My fabrication guy told me it would be cheaper and much faster if I brought him one in the width I wanted.
