gamecocks2001
One of my deck scuppers is very slow to drain. Is there a way to clean it out short of taking the inline valve apart? That thing looks like it would be an extreme pain to get to. I do have rabubs installed if that makes a difference.
Miss Jazzy
Only other remedy other than taking it apart is flushing it with a hard stream of water and hope it unclogs. Mine were the same way, it's annoying!
smilemaker
High pressure will not get them cleared. You need a large volume of water to flush them. Yes you need some pressure but not 1000 lb. Find a funnel that fits the inside and cut and attach a hose. Turn on all the way and use a rag if necessary to seal. Putting some dawn in and letting it sit will help. The other option is a shop vac. Remove the raybuds even above take them off. Rig the vac to fit the transom. Put some dawn down then cover the grate. Fill inside of boat with a bunch of water. Remove the rag covering the grate and cut on shop vac. This will pull a large volume of water and the trash.
mustang190
I use a gas powered leaf blower.
fishmanjj
I've used air compressor with around 65 psi and pointed nozzle.....to push the water and soap through it. I guess it depends on what is actually clogging it up.
Lowroad
I eliminated the check valves and installed Rabuds, no problems.
