smooth move Posted May 11, 2016 Report Share Posted May 11, 2016 next week end is the 2nd redfish tourny in the GRS 2016. weigh in at Topwater Grill in San Leon on Saturday from 3 to 5. fun time at weigh in and a fairly inexpensive two man tournament if anyone is interested. even if you don't fish in it, it's a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon. smooth move Posted May 15, 2016 Author Report Share Posted May 15, 2016 yeah. we fished the first one and only weighed in one fish at 27 1/2----7-10 and came in 24th place, but that was enough to keep us in the season bracket for the final. hope we have better luck next week. it's a $40 one time membership and $300 a team. lots of fun. they have a Riptide bracket for beginners that's cheaper. we fished in that bracket the first year. lets you learn the ropes without the bigger cash lay out. smooth move Posted May 21, 2016 Author Report Share Posted May 21, 2016 Well, we didn't do as good as we would like, but weighted in 2 fish at 11.19 #. only fish we caught were those 2 reds and a gar, on topwaters. still in the final 4 bracket though. keeping our fingers crossed!
