Redfeesssh in Choko - beware Dino and DonH are baaaaaaacccccckkk Capt Dewalt is ready to break out the drills, saws, and machinery of death and destruction... Ran her over 300 miles home yesterday without a problem....trailer hubs ice cold.... 17T 1998 - yeah yeah, know about the stringers....this on had them redone it appears....floor hard as a rock...no issues yet...let's see.... Even then..easy peasy cut out the floor and go... 1998 2 smoker....CaptDonH checked the compression....all good @ 117 -120 across the board..... broken skeg...but, no big deal...Ralf the Outlaw will be fixing this next week.... Ran like a champ..... Lower unit oil perfect.... Original tank...will be draining and checking....Boyz at boat center said to drain it and put a big blue on it....change frequently...we check the filter on it last night that had not been changed in years....and it was fine...some sediment..but, expected.... On Seatrial she ran like a champ....31 mph..has a 4 blade PT....that was with 3 big boyz and 1/2 tank gas.... Will be installing a Garmin 741XS, Powerpole, and 80 Ipilot. Slowly, it will go through a complete refurb..... Plan on: 1.) Folding Backrest - Ralph will be doing this @ AIM Welding 2.) Hull paint 3.) Gotta have lots of rod holders 4.) Considering applying the "Tuff Deck" product i've seen on Shipshape TV - more to come on this or other applications 5.) Re-wire 6.) Jackplate in the future 7.) Wife wants a bimini for sandbar... She came with all seen in pics... Very happy with the seller...honest guy....pleasure to deal with....he's happy, I'm happy, his wife is happy as she gets her garage back ! Boat's been store last 6 years 50/50 house garage and under cover....it shows..... This will be the my last skiff as wife says - gotta save more for retirement....so, the Last Rodeo is underway... Limitless
Dino and Don: Very nice. That is going to be a great, perfect sled for you guys. I know when you've finished your planned improvements, she'll be a PoA! Very happy for you. I gotta say though, Capt. DeWALT, those on here that know you know that there's no way that's your last ride.

Wanaflatsfish
gotta say though, Capt. DeWALT, those on here that know you know that there's no way that's your last ride. Yep, it is...LAST RODEO is her name... Wife says get all the goodies...TM, PP, nice Garmin... Cheaper than a new boat and payments for 5 years I got her at a great price...so, I'll put out another 5K in upgrades and we are done She's due for an Ultegra 80TM, Powerpole 8 foot and I have a Garmin 741XS now... should be fun. dc
Wanaflatsfish
STARTED THE REFURB.... FIRST LINE OF ATTACK: FUEL SYSTEM FUEL SYSTEM WAS IN THE FRONT COMPARTMENT - Meaning, the bulb and water separator system was in the front hatch. I pulled the fuel filter which had 12-27-11 on it..yes, never been changed in 5 years DonH and I dumped it and found some sediment..but, nothing major.... So, I took of the send and unscrewed the anti-siphon valve and found this.... clogged...see the small piece of gunk in it. I drained off about 6 gallons of fuel to the bottom of the tank and looked inside with a flash light.... very surprised....just a small amount of sediment....no floating chunks....etc. Here is the new anti-siphon installed without the hose.... Here is the beginning of the re-wire....pulled the 12v TM wiring from the bow, unhooked all the batteries.... Big Dave stopped by......and helped out with the hose pulling and other acts of death and destruction.... More to come...... DC

Intheslot12
It goes without saying how happy we are for the dynamic duo. One thing is for sure you need more time on the water lately. There is no doubt that mistress is going to be taken care of and even pampered a little. Looks like Dave showed up in his Sunday-go-to-meeting clothes.... Haven't seen him in a collared shirt in years. Oh and I found one of your portable air packs in the garage from the last trip. I'll bring it when I stop by to meet her. Congrats my friend, and catchem up!

Installed them on PVC board which was expoy'd in the night before using West System 610 - Shout out to Bob at IMS 3.) Installed the boxes using WS610 and 5200 to the bottom of the trays....then screwed them down... 4.) Installed the TM wiring system for the batteries using a Blue Seas break 5.) Tapped the aluminum plate for install of the TM - Thanks Capt DonH for the tapping expertise - came out perfect 6.) Installed the Battery Tender Plug on the bow. Great Job to Mike B my master installer He's complete two other Ulterra- great experience and advice. 7.) We got her up and running....lots of fun 8.) DonH put together extensions for the trolling motor - we are using the Promarinier 20 amp bought from form member JBibler - thanks Josh... 9.) Changed out the fuel system.... Added the new big blue on the tunnel hull..... all new bulb and hoses..... Starting the tapping for the trolling motor.... Tapping complete and ready to add the puck.... The boat had a Marinco plug which I do not like....I went with the Battery Tender...we replaced in the same place...but, needs to be updagraded (the starboard etc.)..but, for now, we just want to get on the water..so, we just put it in and will change out in the dog days of summer when we aren't fishing...
