justdriftin Posted December 31, 2015 Report Share Posted December 31, 2015 Anyone ever had a shade made for the bow of your pathfinder like you see on the dorado style boats? I've never seen one and not sure it would work with the deck layout. But they are nice for the kids and wife to climb up there and get in the shade. Not sure how serious i am about it, i don't know how tall you could make and not interfere with sight, and if not tall enough wouldn't really be that useful Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
fin-addict Posted December 31, 2015 Report Share Posted December 31, 2015 talking about a bow dodger, it can be done on the pathfinder but it would have to be tall as the deck is just below the gunnel ht. mostly seen on cc boats where the front seating is much lower than gunnel. had them on two boats I have owned. liked them for rain, or keeping things dry on offshore runs in snotty seas, not shade. they get hot inside even with a front zip window. better off with a bow bimini that covers the front side lockers not the bow casting deck. brother had one made for his 22 and works great. you can also go with the old umbrella route.
