NNFD197
I just purchased a Rhodan trolling motor for my 2200 pathfinder. The boat has never had a trolling motor on it before so this will be a first install for the boat and my self. It seems pretty straight forward after reading the installation instructions but I figured I'd shoot out a post to see the do's and don'ts. Honestly I'm a little scared to drill into my new boat but as long as I get the 4 mounting holes right the first time, I'll be happy. I've laid it on the deck and marked the bracket so the motor head is just inside the rub rail so I don't smack it on a dock. And when deployed I have the shaft an inch from the rub rail for clearance. Any comments, concerns would be nice. Thanks
SCFD rtrd.
You might get more help/replies if you post this in the general section. Lots of members have mounted their own trolling motors.
AlanJ
Just wondering ,what size shaft length do you have to keep it inside the rubrail? 60'' or 54"
HoneyB
Sounds perfect to me. Use good fender washers under the deck.
