Coto
Chad it looks good. However, I have to be honest and say for the money and work you are pouring into the skiff the guy doing the non-skid needs to do a better job with the radius of his corners. They look off. chad1616
Hull buffed out, new rubrail on , undergunnel rod holders fully gelled (so seadeck has something to stick to) pulled motor to get tiny area behind it. powdercoated maverick engine backing plate. All new hinges on. Sending nav lights cleats grab rails fuel cap etc out to powdercoat by end of week. Moving to metal shop for poling platform, 2nd casting platform, universal sissy bar for both(with cup holder attached bc im lazy)

chad1616
has anyone upgraded to friction hinges yet ?
HoneyB
I changed out my hinges on the back three lids on my pathfinder.. Love them. Gem cautioned against using them on the larger storage box up front and I’m fine with the springy hinge on the anchor well.

whichwaysup
I feel like I'm cheating on my boat by looking at these pics. Beautiful job. Really enjoy these updates. I see a powerpole in that last pic!
chad1616
Power pole mounted rod holders tacked in place- Forward casting platform built ( Had to build the platform for leg placement to match the previous existing tarpon cage deck reinforcement ) and the first piece of powder coating back

chad1616
Pieces back from powder! She was half in half out shop door; I apologize for picture quality. Platform decks are glass with texture. Looks so good i may not seadek them. Sissy bar is so comfy with built in yeti cup holder. And i made it mount to the front or backside of forward platform for really sporty days and different angler comfort levels. Still a long way to go ! Off to rigging ! And side note- just go buy a new one. Its cheaper. Not as fun though ! Any help from moderators turning photos would be great

chad1616
Picked up some yeti 35’s on black friday from Dicks. After all discounts 130$ each. My thought was to use 2nd one as quicker step down from poling platform vs building an actual step for twice as much. This week’s dilemma is which pushpole caddy and holders ? Ive always run moonlighter but they are definitely going to snag lines. Anyone have anything they swear by ? Next update will be virgin console chopped Up. tried to rotate pics sorry
jason p
I’ve been on different boats with all different brands of holders and always liked the old, simple Stiffy holders. Yeah the front holder will snag fly line but they always work and never tear up your push pole.
chad1616
lots of regular life slowing this process down but i'll still be ready for tarpon season . Trailer should be ready in 2 weeks . I got impatient and just ordered an Ameritrail because it wasnt an additional trip to orlando to measure up with Ram-lin on my rusty/bandaided original shorelander . It cost more but not near as much as a trailer failure on the interstate. had to put a new set of rims/tires just to get it to jax for rewire and cut the fenders lol .Tony Eden at Boattronics making sure i have another 20 years of zero electrical issues . , Seadeck should arrive next week , switched the color up a bit from my original plan .john at castaway customs north east has been on point with communication . I typically used alex at castaway customs west coast but the boat was already in jax. Should have updated photos of full re-rigging and rewire end of this week . still havent decided on trolling motor (12v vs 24v- some say 12 is fine others swear i'll be disappointed. i dont fish beaches just mangroves in crystal river , choko, islamorada to everglades area. pretty sure im going rhodan ) or pushpole holders. still leaning towards stiffys but the vmarine stuff has some nice detail. And definately switching to friction hinges . played with a set and the rest is history . Told my wife new baby is coming home and she her face was "wtf" , not really paying attention to the 8 month process !
