What size prop for 2400 Pathfinder?

Second on power tech, I think Marcus is still the guy to talk to but I am sure they are all good.. Tell them what your needs are (shallow water, quick hole shot, higher speed, etc.). I have a 4 blade, I think 17 pitch for my 150 hp 2200 TRS. I run pretty shallow and need a quick hole shot and dontcare about top end speed but understand others may have different needs.

There’s a Pathfinder Prop Discussion section in this forum - one of the “chapters” at the top of the page. Within that there is a lot of discussion about props for a 2400 with the F300.

Thanks. It sound like there is no identifiable "best" prop for the 2400 with the 300. Two people had the HS4 15X22 and one was favorable results and the other did not look favorable. I guess I will just have to bite the bullet and try a few.

I ran two different props today and I need a little help with the results. Both tests were done today on a 2019 2400 Pathfinder with 9 hrs. We had 3 people on board, 4 batteries, and 1/2 tank of fuel. I think the HS4 is the better prop here but I am thinking 5400 rpm is too low. What would happen if i went from a 22 to 21 pitch?

The first prop is a Yamaha SWS II 15.25 x 19 (3 blade)

The second Prop is a Yamaha HS4 15.00 x 22 (4 blade)

The third is a Powertech OFX4 x 20

Thanks for the great info. Are you getting the same speeds on your GPS as your Yamaha gauges?  Also, how's the holeshot with the PowerTech prop?

Yes same speed.

Hole shot with both 4 blades was great but the "clunk" of the PowerTech drove me crazy.

I have found "The prop" for the 2400 Pathfinder with a hard top and 300 Yamaha. It is the Yamaha HS4 15.00 x 21 (note I previously tried the 22 pitch of this).

I tested this prop with similar weight and got great results. 55mph at 5900rpm may not be quite as good at the OFX4 that clocked 56 mph at 5800rpm, but I could not take the CLUNK when popping it into gear. The Yamaha is very soft.

Yes they are synchronized. The top right corner of the gauges will show "GPS" and the time when it is connected to the GPS.
