  1. I haven't laid eyes on this one, but I've spoken to the owner. Seems like a good guy and the boat seems to be in really good condition. Given where I am with mine, it's probably just a little pre-mature for me to pull the trigger on. Hopefully someone else can benefit from it. https://fortmyers.craigslist.org/lee/boa/d/2003-maverick-18-master-angler/6752972407.html
  2. Well, it's time. I've put too much money into this to finish it, so I am going to sell it at a price that allows the new owner to complete the project under the value of the boat. Here's what you get: Year 2000, 18.5 Maverick Master Angler Flats boat with year 2000 Yamaha 150 (OX66) 2 stroke engine ~500 hrs. Boat hull will require work to finish a repair – see details below. $8,000.00 Motor: Motor is in excellent shape and runs extremely well. Starts up every time, and I recently replaced the remote oil tank/pump assembly. If you know the reputation of an OX66, you know it’s a good motor with many, many years left in it. Top speed was 50-54 MPH depending on load. Hull: Boat hull will require work to finalize a stringer repair. A year ago, I discovered that the boat’s port stringer had become de-laminated at the stern, causing the hull to flex and a small crack to form on port, stern strake. We had the rear deck removed, both stringers ground down (precautionary on the starboard side), and then extended and reinforced the stringers by tying them into the transom. As of today, the rear deck needs to be re-attached, and the small crack in the hull needs to be repaired now that the stringers have been addressed. Basically, you are putting the boat back together with the core issue fully resolved. The rear deck can be removed for you to fully inspect the work that has been done. Aside from the rear deck being detached, the rest of the hull is in good condition, with very few scratches and the gel coat is in overall very good shape. If you are not familiar with this hull, do a little research on it. This is a legendary hull for its ability to handle chop while running shallow, and for it smooth, dry ride and only comparable to an Egret. It is worth the fix. Trailer: Single axle trailer is in very good condition, bunks are in great shape, springs were replaced last year, new LED tail lights. Needs a new jack, but the current one works. Equipment: New throttle and shifter cables have been installed, and new pumps (bilge and livewells) and plumbing have been purchased for the boat. The boat has hydraulic steering, a three bank onboard charger, 2 trolling motor batteries and 1 house battery. The boat includes the poling platform and push pole. I have a Minn Kota 80# thrust Ipilot and Lowrance HDS 7 with side scan that are NOT included in this sales price, but can be purchased with the boat if desired. I've been monitoring the actual sales prices for Master Anglers through the sellers on this forum. This model boat for this year and power typically sell in the 15-20K range, so at this price you have plenty of room to complete the work. I’ve simply run out of money to complete the project the way I want to, and it is too good a boat to cut corners on. Additional information and pictures are available on request. The pics below are not in order, but the ones showing the rear deck in place are the most current (today). The deck is not attached, and you can see the repaired stringers (pained white) in the 3rd and 4th pics. There are several threads detailing the work that has been done on this boat to date, and I've got pics of the boat before, during, and in its current state. I could probably get more by parting it out, but I'm really not interested in going that route, unless someone wants to buy the hull and trailer first.
  3. This boat has been little used, garage kept (will store in 18' garage - has swing tongue) and is in excellent condition and very clean. Sea foam green 17' tunnel hull, 5" draw, 2001 60 HP Yamaha 2 stroke with less than 150 hours (runs extremely well), 2001 Continental trailer with new tires, new Minn Kota 24 volt Riptide GPS guided trolling motor (with remote controller), Garmin GPS, full service records, a fantastic package for shallow water fishing. 5. Me: now a Highly concerned owner of a 2007 2200V pathfinder. friend: Owns a 2002 Hewes bonefisher That began to show some floor cracking along the gunnel wall ( believed it was just the typical stress cracks taking its toll on the old boat) but he began to take on water and the bilge would not stop ! This guy is a full-time respected permit fishermen who takes pride in his boat and maintenanc. when he got a chance to evaluate his boat he noticed a crack in the outter bottom front portion of his hull. He took it to a reputable fiberglass shop that determined that cutting the floor would be the appropriate step to making a full and complete repair but, what he found was highly concerning. It was noted that a single stringer that was in place was not fiberglassed to the hull, but rather helled down with a form of an Apoxy glue on an approx 2 1/2 inch flange around the stringer. Also there was NO foam in the stringer whatsoever. Not to mention that the boat wiring was not in conduit and was simply press between the top And hau not to mention that the boat wiring was not in conduit and was simply pressed between the top And hull. So the question or concern I am posing to all members is has anybody ever experienced this type of craftsmanship from Maverick boat builders. Was this just a fluke? Was this a shortcut? Either way this boat should’ve never of been passed through inspection. My friend his son and any other guest he took on this boat could’ve been in Real jeopardy ! Back to me: As I noticed hairline gelcoat cracking along my back portion of my lower floor just before the rear decking (by the rear drains which To me is a design issue) as my boat holds deck water. I would hate to find out that I’m in the same position with my reputable build such as the Pathfinder . Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance. In pic : you will see the floor removed and the stringer. if you look closely you’ll see how it is not attached whatsoever .

  8. SOLD 2000, 17’ Maverick Master Angler with Yamaha 115 four stroke (about 600 hours) great condition, original gelcoat. Mostly freshwater (Blue Ridge, GA) for the last four years. I purchased this boat four years ago and spared no expense rigging it for Florida panhandle tarpon fishing. Aside from the occasional trip to the coast it has only been used a few times on north GA lakes fishing for stripers. I can’t justify owning a boat like this and using it so little, so have decided to sell. -Aluminum trailer with spare, all lights working, nearly new tires, bearing buddies, ready to travel -nearly new Minkota Riptide 55lb with wireless “copilot” remote and quick release bracket -new battery bank and on board charger -20’ one-piece Stiffy graphite push pole (not shown) with deck holders and Tibor poling platform Push pole caddy -Blue Point Fabrication custom made casting platform with tarpon cage and poling platform lean bar (all easily removable) -Garmin chart plotter and fish finder -stainless steel prop (less than 10 hours) -Lenco hydraulic trim tabs -under gunwale interior lighting -includes anchor, ropes, quick release anchor buoy, and all required coast guard gear Located in beautiful Blue Ridge, GA $16,500 text only (770)403-819one thanks for looking! 9. ***PRICE REDUCED*** After much deliberation I have decided to part ways with this unique fishing machine. I have not had the time to use her like I used to so I figured I’d see if there’s anyone in the market. If you know your boats you know the rarity of a 21 Master Angler... couple that with a low hour 4-stroke, custom aluminum trailer, and custom tower and you have a truly one of a kind platform to chase Tarpon on the beach or beat the bushes for Redfish. 2003 Maverick 21 Master Angler 2007 Yamaha 225F w/ 500 hours 2012 Owens and Sons Aluminum Trailer Custom made tower by Quality T-Tops 3 custom plumped live-wells all running on Rule 1100’s Waterproof AM/FM/Aux Radio with 4 speakers Plenty of storage Gell cell deep cycle batteries with dual battery switch Garmin color GPS/Bottom machine with dual-frequency transducer Locking built in rod storage 4-blade stainless steel prop Lenco trim tabs Sea-Star hydraulic steering Rule Mate 1100 GPH automatic bilge pump Brand new upholstery The motor only has 500 hours on it and has been meticulously maintained! Just had it in the shop and have a full diagnostic report to show. 62% of the hours have been below 1,000 RPM... she has been babied! The trailer is a custom aluminum slide-on made by Owens and Sons out of St. Petersburg. It has heavy duty i-beams, tandem torsion axels, and alloy wheels with spare tire mount. I had the axles LineX’d before they were installed to prevent them from rusting! These trailers are custom made to order and top of the line quality! The boat has spent it’s life in Tampa Bay. It was custom ordered from Maverick with no poling platform and an unrigged center console. It was then fitted with a custom made half tower from Quality T-Tops. All three live-wells have been custom rigged with Rule 1100’s, new plumbing, upgraded strainers, modified overflows, and improved inflows for a total of 110 gallons of live-wells! The sea chest has been upgraded to include the stainless steel pick-up grate. The rear access hatch was upgraded to allow much easier access to the bilge than factory. She is 100% turn-key and ready to be fished! Everything is fully functional: all the lights and pumps work. Will throw in all required safety gear so you’re ready to go! She could be yours for $35,000 $31,500 Located in Tampa FL. Call or text Kevin 813-951-7070 Title in hand. Evenings are the best time to call. 11. 2001 Maverick Master Angler

$25,500. The boat is well cared for and is located in Charleston, South Carolina. We bought the boat about 6 years ago to fish locally with our boys. They are now off to school and the older boys are going to move up in size for the comfort and company of the older girls. My friend Eric and I have owned this together. He posted this yesterday on The Hull Truth and here is a link. He is partially retired and going to handle any information requests during the sale. The link to the post is below and his contact direct is shindigfishing@hotmail.com. I'll try to field questions here, but it would be best to click on the link, review the photos and email Eric directly to keep it all straight. Hopefully nobody buys it before October so we can fish in the MBC Southeastern Owners Tourney. We have fished it each year since it came to Charleston... Hey Guys, Thinking about selling my 01 Maverick Master Angler 18.5 with original Yamaha VMax 150 OX66, 174 hours on motor (runs like a champ) so that I can move into a little bit larger boat... Pathfinder 2200 or Action Craft 2110. I bought this boat a few months ago and it truly is in great condition! I truly love this boat and the ride through rough chop... Just looking for a little larger boat because the Missis wants something with higher gunwales etc. Since I don't pole or anything like that I guess I need to start looking. 20. My new Maverick!

Picked up a 2011 Maverick 18 HPX-V last week thanks to Scott Slappey. This is my first skiff. I Could not be more excited to be a member of the MBG family! I am looking forward to being a part of this group and am sure I will have many questions as I learn the ins and outs of this boat.
  21. Selling my 09 Maverick Micro. Need more room for a growing family interested in fishing and being in the water. I'm the second owner. I purchased from original owner 3-4 years ago. boat had 4 hours on motor when I bought and was always garage kept. Boat now has 35 hours on motor and runs perfect. boat is very well kept. Stored in garage except for a short 10 month period I kept it covered with a boat cover between moves. I'm located in Covington, LA and have fished the south LA marsh exclusively. I don't need to tell anyone here what the technical capabilities of this boat include, if you're on this forum you already know. Pictures show more than I could describe here. Hull is black if can't tell in photos. minn kota ipilot trolling motor has quick release to remove. 6ft power pole. also have Garmin GPS/depth finder, will have to get model number. Original owner also had Maverick add the front seat w/ built in cooler which I have used for more storage only. unique feature not seen much on the Micros in my experience. Listing here and a few other sites as well. boat is turn key Asking 24K OBO. call/text for more info. 5046157364
  22. Need to sell bc I’m looking at early retirement from the military due to medical reasons. Boat motor and trailer are 2006. Boat is turn key and ready to go. It’s a great riding boat and I’m hate to see it go. It’s finally like I want it. Figures.... -Ameritrail trailer with new hubs, new tires and new trailer lights -Yamaha F150 w 1050 hours -MK IPilot 80 with 60” shaft Lowrance HDS10 Fusion RA-70 with JL MX770s Custom Fabricated Removable Backrest Raw Water Washdown VHF Full Sunbrella Cover with separate console cover The pictures aren’t new but it’s been raining and pollen is everywhere. I’ll get some new ones up this week, but it looks the same. I get it. It’s BLUE. It’s easy on the eyes and get nothing but positive accolades in person. I got a quote to renon-skid the boat for $1500 if you’re interested. A gray SeaDek in a teak mold would be nice too. The blue never bothered me, I just called out of curiosity. I bought it for what it is, a 2006 center console 18 MA with a F150 and a Ameritrail. The boat is right and lives up to every expectation. $23k

  24. Hey guys, I'm having a little battery trouble on my Maverick Master Angler 18.5. I have 3 batteries on the boat two up front dedicated to the 24v trolling motor and 1 dedicated to cranking the motor, running the Power pole, trim tabs, motor trim, 2 live wells, Simrad go7, bilge pump, and light for the compass (basically everything else on the boat). The cranking/house battery is new as of 8/17 and brought it in to Westmarine for a load test and after testing it the guy said it is good to go with no problems. My problem is that when on the boat in the morning the motor cranks right up... But once I run the Simrad unit, one livewell, and use tilt trim/trim tabs the Volt's start to stay low showing flashing 11.8- 12.4 on the tachometer and 10.4-11.7v on the Vsupply for the Simrad unit (low voltage alarm goes off on Simrad the entire time the livewell is on, lucky I know how to turn off the annoying alarm sound). The real problem is when I have the motor of and I'm fishing a long shoreline or something 45min-2hr's, the motor gets tough to start because the volts are low.... Could my battery be bad although the load test showed it was good? Do I have to many electronics running off the one battery? Should I buy a good quality dual purpose battery and would that be a better fit for cranking the motor and running the electronics? Please help because I would prefer not to have to us my TowBoatUS membership. Lol
  25. So wanting others opinions on the self bailing cockpit holes on the mirage 2. Mine were previously filled in, but wondering if I should open them back up. Just wondering if water ever came in on other boats, and did the load make a difference?
