  1. Need to sell bc I’m looking at early retirement from the military due to medical reasons. Boat motor and trailer are 2006. Boat is turn key and ready to go. It’s a great riding boat and I’m hate to see it go. It’s finally like I want it. Figures.... -Ameritrail trailer with new hubs, new tires and new trailer lights -Yamaha F150 w 1050 hours -MK IPilot 80 with 60” shaft Lowrance HDS10 Fusion RA-70 with JL MX770s Custom Fabricated Removable Backrest Raw Water Washdown VHF Full Sunbrella Cover with separate console cover The pictures aren’t new but it’s been raining and pollen is everywhere. I’ll get some new ones up this week, but it looks the same. I get it. It’s BLUE. It’s easy on the eyes and get nothing but positive accolades in person. I got a quote to renon-skid the boat for $1500 if you’re interested. A gray SeaDek in a teak mold would be nice too. The blue never bothered me, I just called out of curiosity. I bought it for what it is, a 2006 center console 18 MA with a F150 and a Ameritrail. The boat is right and lives up to every expectation. $23k

  3. Hey guys, I'm having a little battery trouble on my Maverick Master Angler 18.5. I have 3 batteries on the boat two up front dedicated to the 24v trolling motor and 1 dedicated to cranking the motor, running the Power pole, trim tabs, motor trim, 2 live wells, Simrad go7, bilge pump, and light for the compass (basically everything else on the boat). The cranking/house battery is new as of 8/17 and brought it in to Westmarine for a load test and after testing it the guy said it is good to go with no problems. My problem is that when on the boat in the morning the motor cranks right up... But once I run the Simrad unit, one livewell, and use tilt trim/trim tabs the Volt's start to stay low showing flashing 11.8- 12.4 on the tachometer and 10.4-11.7v on the Vsupply for the Simrad unit (low voltage alarm goes off on Simrad the entire time the livewell is on, lucky I know how to turn off the annoying alarm sound). The real problem is when I have the motor of and I'm fishing a long shoreline or something 45min-2hr's, the motor gets tough to start because the volts are low.... Could my battery be bad although the load test showed it was good? Do I have to many electronics running off the one battery? Should I buy a good quality dual purpose battery and would that be a better fit for cranking the motor and running the electronics? Please help because I would prefer not to have to us my TowBoatUS membership. Lol
  4. So wanting others opinions on the self bailing cockpit holes on the mirage 2. Mine were previously filled in, but wondering if I should open them back up. Just wondering if water ever came in on other boats, and did the load make a difference?

  9. Hydro Tec Marine Performance???

Hey Guys, Has anyone ever heard of or put a Hydro Tec Marine- Phase I Kit on their Yamaha motor? I Stumbled stumbled upon a post on Facebook and the guy was talking about having put one on his Yammi 150 vmax OX66 and his numbers seemed really good! Any info would be appreciated, about reliability, performance, fuel economy, etc... I'm not worried about voiding a motor warranty as my motor is an 01 Yamaha Vmax OX66 with 70 hours. The Kit on Hydro Tec's website is $1,236 and then I'm sure there would be a decent amount of labor to have it installed. If this kit isn't worth it is there anything that can be done to an older carb 2 stroke, to up performance?? Thanks, Vinnie
  10. My "new" MA18.5!

I finally had enough time to take the new boat out! Played some hockey in the morning (to burn off all that Turkey) then my gf and I took the boat out for a while... Forgot the cast net at the house smh so I just threw some plugs and managed a few small snook and lost a big dog snook that shook the hook boatside all and all a great time and she ran flawlessly, looking forward to more great days to come!

Hey guys, Do you recommend putting a jackplate on a 2001 18.5MA with a 150 yamaha ox66? Cost is $1400 installed so I'm just wondering if it is worth the cost or if this boat even needs it.

  16. First time on the water

After a few days of touching up minor cosmetic blemishes and installing latches, etc. the 1989 has hit the water for the first time since being picked up two weeks ago. Lanier was crazy packed today and there were lots of big wakes but the Maverick handled it all well.
  17. My First Maverick 1989

Picked up this 1989 18' Master Angler last week. Boat is in very good condition except for a few very minor cosmetic blemishes here and there that should be easy to fix. Excited to start working on it soon and give updates or ask for advice on this forum.
  18. I have a 2006 Maverick that i have been refinishing for the past 6 months. It's been a very long process and I'm now ready for Primer and Paint, which is not something I have experience with. I want to the store and bought all of the paint, 1 gallon of Quantum with all of the reducer / converter but I'm not sure what I need to do to be ready to spray. I have listed some of the things that I already have but after spraying some primer I feel like I'm over my head. Can anyone give me some advice as this is completely new to me? Also, I'm willing to pay if anyone knows a place that can spray the boat for me. Ballard Taleck - 239-537-3455

  21. So I have found another boat I am interested in and figured I'd list my boat here before craigslist or any other for sale sites. It's a 1998 Maverick Master Angler 18' 5" with a Yamaha 175 VMAX and a 2017 Fast load aluminum trailer. This is one of the cleanest MA's you will find especially for the year. I looked at several MA's before purchasing this one. The boat and motor have an original 176 hours. I have recently wrapped the boat black but I have some photos of it before the wrap which is a cabernet color. I had it wet sanded and buffed before the wrap and the gel coat is in good condition. I am the third owner of the boat, the first of which was an older man who was a snow bird so the boat was rarely used. I have gone through this boat and added over $13k worth of upgrades all within the last year which are listed below. Boat: 1998 Maverick Master Angler 18'5" Black 3m wrap professionally done by Sign Zoo New Steering wheel (still have the original) Wrapped wheel and grab rails New SeaStar Tilt helm and hydraulic lines Lowrance HDS9 Gen 3 with sonic hub New troling motor batteries (Feb. of 2017) Seadek under gunnels with Maverick logo Re-Wire (Everything from the console back including the fuse panel) New Lenco trim tab actuators New pumps ( Rule auto bilge, livewell and recirc) Atlas 4" Jack plate Powder coated black Dual Power-Pole Blade 8's with brackets New Yamaha 704 remote control binnacle Minn Kota 70lb 24V trolling motor (was on the boat when I bought it and is GREAT shape) Motor: Yamaha 175 Vmax 176 hours New plugs and lower unit oil changed about 5 hours ago 3 blade 19 pitch Yamaha prop It could use a new prop, the boat has amazing hole shot but suffers a little bit on the top end. 50mph with two people and gear and about 52 or 53 mph lighter load. Trailer: 2017 Fast load aluminum trailer with torsion axle Less than 100 miles on the trailer Saltwater package with all Stainless hardware Aluminum black wheels with spare drop leg jack $21,500 obo No low ballers please. You can add up all of the upgrades and see the value. You can't buy a MA 185 and add everything for near this price

  25. -48 original hours -90 Yamaha 2-stroke(perfect match) -trim tabs -6ft power pole -garmin ff/gps... -hydraulic steering with tilt helm -clean professional wiring -mint condition -cushions in great shape -everything works. The previous owner used the boat very little and kept it in the garage. Routine service and maintenance was performed. This boat only has 48 hours of total run time. Everything is 100% ready to go. The motor is the last year Yamaha made a 90 hp two-stroke and it is perfect for this boat. The weight-to-power ratio is ideal for this light flats boat. I will take other boats on trade. This is a unique opportunity to own a Hewes Redfisher that has very low hours. 48 Hours of total run time is what separates this boat from others on the market. The 90 hp 2-stroke Yamaha balances this boat properly. Clear title ready to transfer $19,995 St. Petersburg, FL. 727-244-4262 Price does not include trailer. I will deliver within a reasonable distance. For $1350 i will have a new trailer purchased and matched for this boat.
