  2. 2000 18.5 Maverick Master Angler - Project

Ditto on NAg's comments Gus. I was shocked to logo this morning and see your dream sitting up for sale. I know you must be crushed that it has come to this. As NAg stated the right buyer will come along. That's too good a hull to let go.

  5. What did you do to your boat today?

Pulled the intake and replaced all the SS reeds with CCMS carbon reeds. Also inspected the crank and bearings as she is 17 years old. Everything looks spot on and super clean. Will be starting her up this evening and re-setting the carbs and re-tuning. Broke a linkage clip so have that on order along with some new Mercury tubing to replace all the existing tubing for the priming of the system.

  9. I was searching the web for how to's on carb rebuilds and came across a very interesting video on you tube. I thought I would post a link here and allow everyone to see what ethanol fuel does and how it reacts to air. This blew my mind because I do run ethanol as I do not have a station near me with rec fuel. I normally run only what I need and run the motor dry at the dock. That however is going to change and I will be purchasing my fuel at the landing until I can find a station near me. Please watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzFzYoxxA10

  11. What did you do to your boat today?

Took boat out Sunday, caught 1 keeper, than packed it up and noticed that the winch seat top tab had completely separated and had to strap it down to get home. Replaced winch seat last night, ready to go again.
  12. Peacock Bass

  13. New fishing buddy

Rescue's are great. We have rescued several boxers during my life, and one terrier who is going on 12 or 13 years now. But this guy above is a purchase from a breeder. Him and his brother came home together and my daughter got his brother.
  14. New fishing buddy

Here's a pic of my buddy, but can't take him on the boat because he has no clue how to swim. Most boxers don't...
  15. New fishing buddy

What breed is he? He loves the tennis ball already. LOL

  19. What did you do to your boat today?

Nothing with the boat today or this weekend. However, I was able to build my rod holders in my new shed/workshop that I just completed. Took a 2x4 drilled as many 1 1/2 inches holes as needed and then rip'd it on my table saw and had two units to hang from. Pre-drilled holes and counter sunk the screws. I lined each slot with felt for protection. Used .88 cent plastic coated hooks that I bought at Lowe's on the tip side.
  20. So, I was watching an episode of The SeaHunter this morning while nuking my oatmeal at work. The guide and the host where fishing Choko. I noticed for starters that they were not on a Seahunter Flats or Bay, perhaps they don't make a flats yet. Anyway, the Mirage they were fishing had what looked like 4-6 inches antennas all the way around the bow of the boat. They started right about were the front storage compartment is and then wrapped all they way around to match the other side, approximately 4-6 inches apart. I was just wondering what in the world are those used for? Feel free to chime in
  21. Chine walking Chittum!

So, what was the top speed...?
  22. Was just wondering what they are used for ?

A mat that you just lay down so that it is not permanent? I like that idea better.
  23. New MBG Facility

    Sweet looking facility
  24. Was just wondering what they are used for ?

Interesting! I thought it might have something to do with that but then again I was like the fly line will just slip though... and I guess that they are a little less expensive than integrating a toe rail. Thanks A-Salt
  25. THIS is a sunrise

Outlaw, you are always camping or fishing. What in the world do you do for work?
