  6. Boat Trailer Layout...

I'm curious as to what you guys have found to be the best way to lay out your boat trailer. I've got an old '73 Hewes Bonefisher with an EZ Loader trailer and it's about time to replace some of the hardware. Currently, I have (2) 6-8 foot bunks in the back and three rollers with the front roller acting as the hit point. It is a true PITA (especially in any current) to make perfect contact with this front roller. I am considering putting two shorter front guide bunks (see attached photo). Should these run inside the length of the trailer or would 2-4 ft bunks (located in the middle of the trailer) suffice ? Just putting some feelers out there to see what you guys have found success with.

  8. Tarpon Hardbaits?

Looking for good hardbaits to pitch at Tarpon in NE Florida/SE Georgia?
  9. VRO

Can someone please tell me what these two wires in picture #1 are used for? Also, in picture #2, is there supposed to be anything hooked into this component that I have pointed out or is that just used to bleed air? *****this is the VRO system
  10. Back Deck Repair

Looking to repair/replace the back deck on an old Bonefisher, and I'm trying to get a ballpark range on how much I'm looking at? Its currently got wood, so first I'd like to rip all of that out and replace it with some form of composite. Would also like to reconfigure my layout as i currently do not have a lot of storage. I know this is very brief but im just trying to get an idea of how much this would cost me for someone to do it.
  11. 2000 Johnson 115 OceanPro

So I have been noticing a problem with my motor the past couple of times that I have taken it out and I was wondering if I could get some insight. It tends to "cut back" anywhere from 4000-5000 RPMS, but I've noticed that when I run it around 5500 there is no cut back and the motor runs fine. I'm no mechanic by any means, but it seems like it's either not getting enough gas or the carburetors need to be cleaned out. I also was having idling problems this last time out. Motor would crank and without even taking it out of neutral, the motor would shut off. I have tightened up the throttle as I first thought that my throttle shifter was just loose, but the problem still exists and its getting worse each time I take it out. Any and all insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
