    21 MA Speaker options?

I have one set up front on either side of the cooler seat “shin high” and the same in the rear right in front of the bench seat. I wanted all speakers firing in so that you could hear clearly while running. My last boat had console speakers and were fine while sitting but you couldn’t hear anything while underway. I was a little leary running the amp off of my starting batt but have never had a single issue. I do have my trolling batts hooked to my main switch and can jump off of those in a pinch. It is really easy to wire. There is a round access panel inside your console and you can run your wires through there to either side of the boat. Once you cut your holes in the lockers, there is a void between the inner and outer wall that goes straight down to the bottom of the hull where your wires are. I have 4 JL MX770’s (couldn’t justify the m770’s and can’t imagine it being any louder than it is) and a 400/4 JL amp that I picked up here used for $300. I think a new one is $425??? If I ever do it again on another boat it will be 4 8.8’s and a 600/4 for a little added base.

    21 MA Speaker options?

Hey SW21, I have a 21 MA and have 4 JL 7.7’s, 2 in each side of my rod lockers facing in. I have 3 batts and run the amp off of my cranking batt and never had a problem with running out of juice and I usually run my live well all day as well as my chart plotter. The JL’s sound amazing and you can hear clear as a bell while running. I think the rod lockers act somewhat like a large speaker box and improve the sound. I hope this helps. Good luck

    21 MA Gasket

I might see what kind of magic you can whip up on that CNC DC!

    21 MA Gasket

Your rig looks identical to mine, what year?? Mine is an 06 21 The foam idea is a good one and I may give it a try. The piece that I was looking for is the same concept but it’s a rubber gasket that attaches on the underside of the hatch lid that is the exact same shape as the livewell and seals it off once the hatch lid is closed. The ones I have seen may be homemade but not sure. Wish I could post pics and I would put one up I found online. Thanks for the tips

    21 MA Gasket

Thanks Capt, I’m looking for the actual part that inserts into the live well (mounted on underside of hatch lid that is same shape as the well) when the lid is closed.

    21 MA Gasket

Anyone know where I can get the live well shaped rubber gasket/seal that attaches to the underside of the front live well hatch lid? Tired of the front pitch well spraying me in rough conditions when ever it’s full. This is for a 21 MA Thanks

Yamaha 2014 250 SHO for sale

Hey Lap, I’ve been following the ECU flashing threads for years on the SHO. I’m just scared that as soon as I “flash” mine, it will blow up for some reason and cause me an 7-8k trade in on a new 250 that I could have had with warranty. I also don’t want to explain the ECU swapping to the new owner If I ever sold it. It would help me sleep better if it was OEM. I think my OCD is getting the better of me here Love the SHO, great motor. Good luck with the sale

Yamaha 2014 250 SHO for sale

Pictures would be great too if you have any on hand. Kept on lift or in storage etc... Any nicks dings or fading? I have a 200 SHO and looking to move up to a 250 and may be interested. Thanks

    Improved Cheese Grater

Nice post Geeviam. Just curious, what we’re the speed gains if any that you experienced. I’ve experienced quite a bit of porposing on my 21 MA which seems pretty common, but wondering if this may help with that as well. Good work

    Cleats for Hanging Fenders

I put pop up cleats in front of my rod lockers about half way down the boat and that’s what I use to hang bumpers. Really comes in handy. Used to use my grab rail and worked fine.

New locks for rod lockers? or new keys?

I just replaced the locking latches on my 21 MA. Check out gemlux latches and will be a lot cheaper than rekeying/messing with old locks. Good luck

Hard Water Mineral Residue on Chart Plotter Screen

I use vinegar on my Simrad and it makes her look good as new. No problems after 3 years. I also use the eye glass spray cleaner and microfiber while on the water with good results as well. St George is a nice place for the family, esp if your looking for a deserted beach inside the bay. Had a lot of good times fishing West Pass and Indian Pass.
