  1. Power Pole Anchor Light

I saw that a couple years ago and thought the same thing. That is the only reason i ended up not buying one. You can hardware them as well.
  2. Stainless pipe fittings

Taco Marine has the plates available as well.
  3. Fuel Dock in Big Pine?

Old Wooden Bridge had fuel when i was down there a month or two ago. Give Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge a call. I seem to remember seeing the fuel pump there. I dont know if they are set up to dispense of it yet. The fishing lodge always had the best price on fuel. Even over the stations that were land locked.
  4. 2018 SW MOT at the Tarpon Lodge

Can’t wait. I’ll be keeping my boat next door at Pineland Marina and staying in a house a couple down from the lodge. My crew and I will be getting in on Wednesday.
  5. Bow mount trolling motor install on RF18

Agms are the way to go. I was able to get 3 batteries in the console of my old 18’ Bayfisher. And i was able to shoehorn 4 batteries in the console of my LT20. Just gotta work on layout a bunch.
  6. Big Pine Key Rental

Hoping for any help from you guys for a rental on Big Pine Key. This is a family trip we have been taking for the past 16 years or so and could possibly be the last one for my mother so trying to make sure the tradition continues. I appreciate any help that can be found. The house my family and I have been staying at the past 8 years won’t be ready by Lobster season. Seems the insurance companies are always quick to take payments but very slow to payout. As some of you know first hand. We usually go down for two weeks at the start of lobster season. This year it would be August 4-18. If anyone has any leads or friends that happen to have houses being unused at that time it would be greatly appreciated to put us in contact. There are usually 6-8 of us, depending on what days people are able to get off work. Except my parents that is. They are living that retirement life. I’ll be there in 25 years or so. Not that I am counting. The house would need to be at least a 2 bed/ 2 bath, 3 bed/ 2 bath would be even better. But we can work around what is available. The house would need to be on a canal without height restrictions as I know a few canals have low bridges. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please pm me on here or let me know how to contact you. Attached are a few photos from past trips. Thank you guys very much.
  7. Big Pine Key Rental

They are booked solid unfortunately. That was one of our first checks. As weird as it sounds they have the best price on non ethanol fuel around down there. With the added benefit of not having to lug fuel cans to gas station and back. Appreciate the ideas.
  8. Big Pine Key Rental

I have checked and there is only one on there right now. I sent an email to the one from VRBO and have not gotten anything back yet. I just wanted to see if there were any other options out there. Trying to get as many options as possible.
  9. Ulterra Users - Take Note-Discconnect ALL POWER

Always used a breaker as an extra way to make sure there is no draw down on the batteries. Same as with any electronics on the boat. The only thing in the boat that can draw power when off the water is automatic bilge pump.
  10. 2018 SW MOT at the Tarpon Lodge

    Bigsnook35 is in for 3. Can’t wait.
  11. Powerpole tubing through transom, yay or nay?

I ran mine through the splashwell because i didn't want any more thru hull holes. I ran them through hydraulic bulk head fittings. That way they matched the seastar and jackplate fittings. They are the hydraulic bulk head fittings on either side of the splash well. They worked great to fit both hoses through one fitting.
  12. Are the rod holders structural

On both my Hewes Bayfisher and Hewes Light Tackle they provide support for the gunnels. They are not attached but there is very little space between them. And when you walk on them the gunnels touch them when they save a little under weight.
  13. Flamingo January 7

Looks like a great day. Glad to see that boat running great and catching fish.
  14. POLL: 2017 - more good than bad, or more bad than good?

    2017 - good 2018 - much worse
  15. looking for new 2004 redfisher 18 console plexiglass

There is a place in Tampa that made mine. The take the measurements off of your current one. Also multiple tints. Www.plasticsamerica.com
  16. Trolling motor / Chargers for 23' Pathfinder

Stealth AC/DC charging system is the way to go. I rarely plug my boat in anymore.
  17. Minn Kota 112V Riptide Trolling Motor

    Hand or remote control?
  18. TM battery question

Just upgraded to 36v from 24v. Don’t mind the added battery. That was the only change to my setup and love it.
  19. Redfisher 19 Lappy vs. LT 20

I have a 225 optimax on my LT. I've had it up to 48 but have a rough bottom so I know I am loosing speed there. But it's a great boat. If I could have found a master angler 21 when I was looking I would have bought it. But the LT has worked out great and don't think I will get rid of it. Too many memories rebuilding it with my father.
  20. Redfisher 19 Lappy vs. LT 20

The red fisher will be a faster boat as it is narrow and lighter. The size difference when you are on the deck seems big. The LT has a ton of room everywhere. I looked at a 19 before I bought my LT but just wanted more storage and a wider all around boat. Both should float in pretty much the same amount of water. I do love the front livewell on the 19 though. I wish my LT had one of those. Hard to go wrong with either one.
  21. Northbound traffic

Strapped the boat down outside at the house in plant city and hoping for the best. I'll be at work till probably Tuesday at least. Hoping it keeps trending west at this point. Hope everyone is safe.
  22. Keel Guard on MA17

You know the old saying. You can do it cheap or you can do it right. You will end up doing it right eventually and then it definitely won't be cheap. As much as you use your boat $400 isn't bad at all.
  23. IRMA

I will be here if it hits but I will be working. Hoping we only get the side of it and not a direct hit. I would highly recommend anyone that is in the path of the hurricane to evacuate and not wait till the end.
  24. Keel repair

I have the line x keel guard. It works good. It is smooth and I can't see it causing any more loss of speed than a regular keel guard will if any. The only issue is that dealing with the shop that does it isn't the best any a long shot. I like it but probably will not do it again just do to the way I was treated. Good luck.
  25. 20lt evinrude G2 prop testing
